Group One winning mare Amicus scored a narrow firstup win. She began quite well from her inside barrier (1) and settled nicely in fourth place on the rails. She got through to second at the 300m but was under riding from that point and responded late on the inner to grab a last stride win.

Press Report went to the front, set a reasonable early tempo (first 600m 35.20), got a break on straightening and looked the winner at the 200m but was caught right on the post for a close second.

I've Got The Looks was fifth between runners, moved up well from the 300m, challenged a the 200m and kept fighting on in good style for a close-up third.

Favourite Dublin Lass disappointed. She raced in third place, trapped deep, improved nicely on turning for home but that effort was short-lived and she just battled on from the 100m to finish (3.9 lengths) sixth.
