Palazzo Pubblico wins 2016 Property Servs Bright Shadow Listed $100,000 at Doomben (QLD) Fillies & Mares, 1200m.

Palazzo Pubblico enjoyed a good trip from her inside barrier (1) racing in fifth place, on the rails, before getting along the inner rounding the home turn, continuing to third at the 200m. She then sprinted along the rails in the closing stages to win comfortably.

Serenade travelled well in third spot, tracking the leaders, before challenging (under riding) at the 200m. She then kept battling on for a sound second after seeming to have every chance.

Miss Tenpins raced outside the leader (Sarisara), got the better of that mare on straightening and went to the front at the 250m. She then fought on nicely for a good third after working in the early stages of the race.
