She was settled well in sixth place, between runners, got into clear running at the 200m and then sprinted quickly to grab a narrow win, going away at the post. Veuve De Vega began well and went to the front. He then travelled well, got a break on turning for home only to be caught in the last few strides to finish second while Gangbuster came from back in 12th place and after getting along the rails from the 200m, he caught the eye with his late-closing third.
