Off a last start, close up third in last week's Galaxy (Gr 1, 1100m), favourite Jungle Edge relished the heavy track and gave nothing else a chance with an all-the-way win here. Jockey Kevin Forrester wasted no time from barrier four and they took up the running in the first few strides. Forrester never moved, leading comfortably into the straight then slipping clear inside the 300m and it was all over and they cruised in to win easing down, the six-year-old’s first stakes win.

Dal Cielo sat third (rails) in behind the lead, moved up to second prior to the 300m and ran on without chance for a clear second.

Impending was last turning in, still second last at the 200m then flashed into third just short of the post.

Kudero was second turning in then battled away the length of the straight, just losing third on the line.
