The race was run to her benefit with early leaders La Remlap and Didntcostalot, going to a 5L lead passing the 500m.

Corey Brown on Aerobatics was well positioned in third on the rails behind the tearaway frontrunners and once they had straightened he still bided his time before making his move.

With 300m to run Brown eased Aerobatics to the middle of the field and then he sent the filly forward.

They took until the 100m to level with La Remlap, but the result was signalled well before that point.

With 75m to run Aerobatics was low flying past La Remlap and away the filly went to win with a 3/4L margin.

La Remlap was second with 1 1/2L to Kimillsy who came home well in her first race since May last year.

The time was 1.04.52 on the upgraded Slow 6 track with the final 600m in 35.33. Aerobatics paid $6.30 on NSW TAB.

Snowden's Warwick Farm foreman Brad Widdup said that Aerobatics was now capable of progressing through to stakes level during the BMW Sydney Carnival over the coming weeks.

Aerobatics is by Exceed And Excel out of the Rahy mare Grilse and this was her second win from eight starts.

The filly is Group 2 placed behind Altar in the Magic Midnight Stakes over 1200m in March last year, but the metropolitan win will give her considerable confidence to achieve her own black type victory.

Stakes are now $137,000 plus a BOBS bonus of $20,000 from Saturday's win.

Mighty Obvious won the $70,000, Sharp Handicap Bm85, but it was not so obvious to punters who send out Detours as the $2.10 favourite on NSW TAB with Mighty Obvious at the luxurious value of $9.60.

Berry went to the lead from the outset and never relinquished it. Detours chased hard over the concluding stages but the closest they got to the leader was the 3/4L margin at the line.

Hurrara were third, the margin4L. The time was 1.04.96 and the final 600m in 34.41.

Mighty Obvious is trained by John McNair at Gosford. A six-year-old gelding by Fubu out of the Umatilla mare Self Evident this was his fifth win and with 13 placings he has earned stakes of $225, 740 for owners M D Herbert, G R Elliott, Ms T L Pryor, L D Chapman, S Caruso, M Slatteryand S J Venables.
