Lucky Pair Share $200,000 Super Sevens Prize

3 minute read

The finale of the BMW Sydney Carnival was made all the sweeter for two lucky patrons who shared the grand prize of $200,000 in the Australian Turf Club's Super Sevens promotion.

Philip Mellor of Narrabeen and Jeanette Daley of Riverview were delighted when Tiger Tees survived a photo finish in the final race on Schweppes Sydney Cup Day at Randwick.

They took home $100,000 each after correctly selecting the last seven race winners on the program from thousands of entries.

Coming to the final race there were only four entries alive, with two selecting Nobby Snip and two on Tiger Tees.

Nobby Snip finished unplaced but Tiger Tees led and kept fighting all the way to the line to win in a three-way photo finish.

The winners are avid racegoers and ATC members.
