Bjorn Baker will take four runners to Rosehill this Saturday including Burbero who is in search of a sixth straight win.
The emerging Warwick Farm stable will saddle up four runners at Rosehill on Saturday with Burbero arguably the most interesting runner.
Burbero has strung together five victories with the latest a win at Canterbury on January 25 over (1550m).
The son of O'reilly took out his first midweek city success comfortably and all is going to plan with the gelding on the short eight day turnaround before Saturday's Norm Snowden Benchmark 80 Handicap (1500m).
“He has done everything right,” Baker said.
“He is fitter than what I thought he was initially. He definitely comes in with a chance as well so we'll see how he goes.
“He has drawn nicely so he should get a gun run.
“He won last Friday and he was going away from them on the line.”
Twilight Royale is expected to attract her fair share of support as she contests the Spotless 2YO Handicap (1200m).
The Testa Rossa filly should be suited rising to six furlongs however connections are tempering expectations.
Baker has his eyes set firmly on the Inglis Classic (1200m) for her next start and is also wary of Peter Snowden's unraced New Approach colt Parfuri.
“Saturday is more of a lead up race for the Inglis Classic race on February 13,” Baker said.
“Her form has been good although I'm not sure how the cut in the track will affect her but she is going well.
“It will be her first run away from Warwick Farm.”
Geemeup faces a couple of rivals who accounted for her last start when running fourth at this track including the promising Chris Waller-trained mare She's Clean.
The High Chaparral filly meets her on better weight terms in the Rosehill Gardens Benchmark 80 F&M Handicap (1400m) and is capable of a forward showing.
“She will be thereabouts,” Baker said.
“Whether she is up to this class is debatable. She has had a few runs this time in and has done a good job so we will have another crack and see how she goes.”
Contesting the Tab.com.au 3YO fillies Handicap (1400m) is Great Dansaar.
The filly lines up against the unbeaten Chris Waller-trained Royal Descent.
“I was disappointed with her last run but this has been her main aim for a while so we will have a crack,” Baker said.
“Hopefully a bit of sting out of the track it will help her a little bit.
“It is nice to have Saturday runners and you know if you feature in the finish you will be well rewarded with the great stakemoney.”
Baker is currently at the Karaka Yearling Sales where he has so far acquired three yearlings.
A standout is the Zabeel colt out of proven mare Prized Gem purchased for $280,000.
“I've got three lots,” Baker said.
“I've got the highest priced Zabeel of the sale out of Prized Gem.
“He is a half to Nom De Jeu.
“If anyone wants to win the 2015 AJC Derby they should give me a ring.
“Some shares are already taken but we are looking to sell more.”
The Warwick Farm-based horseman has also purchased a Nom De Jeu colt and a Darci Brahma colt.
