Pierro and Ortensia are amongst a long list of big names scheduled to trial at Rosehill tomorrow.
The 15 heats conducted at Rosehill tomorrow will commence with a 1030m Open Trial featuring Triple Crown winner Pierro.
Usually ridden by Nash Rawiller who is currently sidelined through injury, Gai Waterhouse Stable Foreman Mark Newnham jumps aboard.
Pierro lines up against Group winner Centennial Park and the Chris Waller-trained trio of Stand To Gain, Hoylonny and Charleston Lady.
Heat 4 will see multiple Group 1 winning sprinter Ortensia make her first official public outing since a most successful 2013 across Dubai and Europe.
Trainer Paul Messara is preparing the seven-year-old for a first up tilt at the Group 1 Lightning Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on February 16 against Black Caviar.
Like Pierro, Ortensia in her 900m heat will be up against a large contingent of Waller-trained gallopers.
Waller saddles up four runners in the heat namely multiple stakes winner Red Tracer, Melbourne Cup fourth placegetter Kelinni, Geelong Cup winner Gatewood and the reliable Nocturnelle.
The Rosehill trainer possesses the majority of runners in Heats 5 and 6, each open trials over 900m including High On Believing, Mon Soleil and Coup Acclaim.
Five 900m two-year-old trials then follow where David Payne's debut winner Criterion will commence his Golden Slipper preparation.
Concluding the heats at Rosehill on Tuesday morning are four three-year-old trials over 900m where notable entries consist of New Zealand Group 1 winner Tougher Than Ever, the unbeaten Office Bearer and Grahame Begg's promising filly Bennetta.
Tomorrow's Rosehill trials are scheduled to commence at 8:15am.
