Group 1 winning colts Pierro and It's A Dundeel have trialled encouragingly at Warwick Farm this morning prior to the pair's anticipated clash in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes next month.
22 heats were conducted at Warwick Farm this morning an Open trial over 1200m commencing proceedings which contained the likes of Pierro and It's A Dundeel.
The pair placed behind Pierro's lightly-raced stablemate Landing.
Settle back in the field under the guidance of Mark Newnham, Pierro worked home well finishing three quarters of a length off of Landing.
The heat was run in a time of 1:11.80 with the final 600m clocked at 35.52.
Pierro has now trialled twice in readiness for a first up run which at this stage is the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on March 2.
Also resuming in the Hobartville Stakes will likely be It's A Dundeel who was six lengths off of Landing and Pierro in this morning's opening trial heat.
