Group 1 winning galloper Manawanui was one of the notable runners who claimed a trial heat at Warwick Farm this morning as the galloper is readied for a late autumn preparation.
Having his second trial this campaign, Manawanui took out the 1000m heat on the Warwick Farm Course Proper in a time of 59.7 seconds.
The Oratorio gelding beat the Gwenda Markwell-trained Rolling Pin by a half length while last start Chipping Norton Stakes winner Shoot Out ran third.
Shoot Out was the first of four Waller-trained runners over the line in the Open trial which also contained new stable additions Reliable Man (4th) and Illo (6th).
The multiple Group 1 winner along with Danleigh (5th) were kept ticking over with the trial in readiness for the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on April 6.
Two other heats were conducted on the course proper at Warwick Farm this morning with Christmas Cup winner Cantonese taking out the first heat of the morning over 1200m from Lamasery.
McClintock took out heat three, an 800m Open trial which also included the Brisbane bound Gai's Choice and multiple stakes winning galloper Skytrain.
A notable trial winner later on in the 18 heats conducted at Warwick Farm this morning was All The Talk.
Gary Portelli's Skyline Stakes winner took out the 800m heat by 2 ¾ lengths.
The Stratum colt stopped the clock in 46.1 seconds in clinical fashion.
Under the guidance of Brenton Avdulla, All The Talk sat outside the lead and cruised away in the straight.
All The Talk is currently quoted at $17 to win the Golden Slipper with TAB Sportsbet Fixed odds behind $2.10 favourite Overreach.
