Fire impresses at Wyong becoming his sires 11th winner
A day after Yarraman Park's Hellbent (I Am Invincible) recorded his tenth winner he added yet another to his tally when Fire And Ice scored an impressive four and a half length victory at Wyong.
Trained by Mark Minervini, Fire And Ice rounded the home turn in front and pulled clear in the straight to defeat Nonshalaant (Shalaa) in the Canadian Club Maiden Handicap (1000m). Millybella (I Am Invincible) was another length and a quarter back in third.
Bought by Minervini Racing for $80,000 at last year's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale for $80,000 from the draft of Kitchwin Hills, Fire And Ice was having his fourth career start on Tuesday and was first up from a spell.
Hellbent has now sired seven winners this month and has moved into second place, behind Russian Revolution (Snitzel), in the leading first season sires table in Australia by winners, three behind the leader.
