Entries now open for Inglis breeding stock sales in Sydney and Melbourne.
Swats That will be one of the headline acts of this year's Chairman's Sale and who will join her at Inglis's major mares' sale of the year will soon be known.
Entries opened on Tuesday for the 2023 Inglis Breeding Stock Sales Series, which takes in several sales across Sydney and Melbourne during May and June.
Swats That, a daughter of Shamus Award and the Bel Esprit mare Is It A Mosquito who was twice a Group 3 winner and three times placed at the highest level, is already a confirmed entry for the Chairman's Sale, which will be held on Thursday, May 4.
Mares in-foal to Frankel, Extreme Choice, Home Affairs and Stay Inside have already been entered for the following day's Australian Broodmare Sale.
The Australian Weanling Sale will be held at the Riverside Sales Complex at Warwick Farm earlier in the week, on May 1 and 2, while the Great Southern Weanling Sale on June 8 and 9 and Great Southern Broodmare Sale, also on June 9, in Melbourne round out the sale.
A brother to Group 1 winner Captivant (Capitalist x Speedboat) will be offered at the Australian Weanling Sale.
"This is a very important sequence of sales which were hugely successful for breeders in 2022 and promise to be better than ever this year,'' Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch said.
"Early indications for 2023 are exceptionally positive, we already have some world-class entries for The Chairman's Sale, while the weanling and broodmare sales have also generated greater-than-usual early interest."
