The Inglis Easter Sale yearlings who are siblings to G1 runners at Randwick on Saturday
Day 1 of The Championships might be in a little bit of jeopardy, but several breeders with yearlings to be offered at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale would be keen to see it proceed.
Below is a list of horses who are siblings to Group 1 runners at Randwick.
TJ SMITH STAKES
Private Eye: A half-sister, by Shalaa, to the Epsom Handicap winner and The Everest runner-up will go through late on Monday's second and final day of the sale.
Mazu: Few will appreciate a return to a Heavy track like the son of Maurice, whose half-brother, by King's Legacy, will go through about 15 minutes before the half to Private Eye. Chatelaine is not only the dam of Mazu but also Headway, a Coolmore Stud Stakes winner and Golden Slipper runner-up.
Magic Time: Speaking of Maurice, the Japanese superstar is the sire of the colt who will go through as Lot 351, a half-brother to last year's Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes winner.
DONCASTER MILE
Zougotcha: Already one of the country's most valuable racemares on account of Group 1 wins in the Flight Stakes and Coolmore Classic, the daughter of Zoustar has a Written Tycoon half-sister who will be offered in the first hour of selling on Sunday.
Militarize: One of the best products of Arrowfield stallion Dundeel, Militarize will attempt the rare feat of carrying 54kg to Doncaster victory as a 3YO two days before his half-brother, who is by Snitzel, is offered for sale.
Golden Mile: By Astern, Golden Mile won a Caulfield Guineas and is closely-related to a winner of one of the majors from this day last year, ATC Australian Derby winner Major Beel, who is out of a half-sister to Golden Mile's dam Calaverite. Emirates Park is offering Calaverite's latest yearling, a filly by Anamoe's sire Street Boss.
Celestial Legend: Early on Day 2 Arrowfield will offer a colt by Maurice, who is a half-brother to the Randwick Guineas winner.
ATC AUSTRALIAN DERBY
Cap Ferrat: A $1.4 million Easter yearling, the Chris Waller-trained colt is one of the most expensive yearlings engaged at Randwick on Saturday, being a son of Snitzel and C'est Beau La Vie, who is a daughter of Makybe Diva's half-sister Valkyrie Diva. Late on Day 2 Arrowfield will offer his half-brother, by Dundeel.
Ganbare: Another by Maurice, the Spring Champion Stakes placegetter chases a maiden Group 1 win a day before his half-brother, who is by another Japanese stallion in Admire Mars, is offered by Goodwood Farm.
