Son of former star filly to debut at Sandown on Wednesday.
Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young will be hoping history repeats when Daggers steps out at Sandown on Wednesday.
The son of I Am Invincible and Omei Sword will make his debut in the $55,000 Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives 3YO Maiden Plate over 1300 metres.
Daggers will become the second foal from the Group 2 winner and Group 1 Golden Rose runner-up to race for Busuttin and Young, who also produced Muramasa to win on debut over 1427m at Sale almost two years ago.
That son of Deep Impact finished second in the Group 3 Norman Robinson Stakes (2000m) later that campaign and last spring won the Coongy Handicap (2000m) and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) at Group 3 level.
Muramasa is one of two to race for Omei Sword, a daughter of High Chaparral whose second foal Yayoi, a four-year-old mare who started her career with Hawkes Racing but is now in the care of Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea, has had two starts for two fourth placings.
Daggers has had three jumpouts at Cranbourne in preparation for his debut, finishing second at his first two before a strong win over 800m after sitting wide on July 1.
He has drawn barrier one for the debut, in which he will be ridden by Luke Currie, with the colt an $8 chance in the market headed by Phillip Stokes-trained I Am Immortal gelding Athanatos ($3.70).
Daggers, a $260,000 Inglis Easter yearling, is the least expensive of Omei Sword's foals to have been offered with Muramasa and Yayoi having sold for $500,000 and $800,000 respectively at their Easter sales.
Earlier this year Rosemont Stud, Chris Waller and Suman Hedge paid $875,000 for her colt by Snitzel at Easter.
