Talented Group 3-winning sprinter Jukebox (Snitzel) retired to Aquis Farm’s Hunter Valley stallion roster, where he stood for an introductory fee of $11,000 (inc GST) in 2018. 

Trained by Ciaron Maher, Jukebox retired a lightly raced four-year-old boasting a race record of three wins from eight starts, which saw him accumulate $356,400 in career prize-money.  He remained unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile, rounding off his two-year-old campaign with an impressive display in the Inglis Premier Classic (RL, 1200m).

The colt landed the Vain Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) on his first start as a three-year-old, before surrendering his unbeaten record in the Danehill Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) on his next appearance, finishing second to Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Catchy (Fastnet Rock). 

Jukebox finished second on his next start in the Blue Sapphire Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) before finishing down the field in the Coolmore Stud Stakes (registered as Ascot Vale Stakes) (Gr 1, 1200m). 

After having surgery to have a chip removed in his fetlock joint, Jukebox finished a creditable third behind the talented Voodoo Lad (I Am Invincible) in the Sir John Monash Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) in July, and he retired after his sixth place finish in the Bletchingly Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) later that month. 

Purchased by his trainer for $200,000 from the Blue Gum Farm draft at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Jukebox is out of the Listed-winning Rory’s Jester (Crown Jester) mare Jestatune, who shared her son’s precocity as a juvenile with victory in the valuable Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic (1200m) and WATC Gimcrack Stakes (Listed, 1100m). 

Jestatune also produced juvenile winner Molto Allegro (Fast ‘N’ Famous) - the dam of Listed winner Beethoven (Helmet). 

Jestatune is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Ihtsahymn (Ihtiram), who also landed the Western Australian Guineas (Gr 2, 1600m), and has produced four winners from her five foals to race, including Jukebox. 

Jukebox's second dam, Umatune (Umatilla) was also victorious at Listed level and is a sister to Sweet Miss, the dam of multiple Group race winner Catapulted (Catbird).
