Widden Stud purchased Supido (Sebring) in April 2018 and he retired the winner of seven races the winner of $563,650 in career prize-money. 

Trained by Michael Kent, the son of Sebring (More Than Ready) was beaten on his first two starts, before breaking his maiden at his third attempt. Supido then followed up with another success at the end of his three-year-old career. 

Kept in training as a four-year-old Supido picked off where he left off, stringing together four victories all at metro level, before finishing third in the Goodwood Handicap (Gr 1, 1200m) on his final start of the season. 

On his second start as five-year-old, Supido finished a close third in the Challenge Stakes (Gr 2, 1000m), while the defining moment of his career came two starts later when he took out the Sir John Monash Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m). 

His CV also includes a fourth place finish in both the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (Gr 1, 1000m) and William Reid Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m), while he also finished fifth in the Newmarket Handicap (Gr 1, 1200m) in 2018. 

Introduced to stand at Widden for an introductory fee of $11,000 (inc GST), the well-bred Supido is one of five winners out of the Japanese-bred mare Lady Succeed (Brian’s Time), herself a half-sister to the stakes winners Shinko Calido (Silver Hawk) and Esperero (Forty Niner).

His second dam is the Group 2 winner Hydro Calido (Nureyev) while his family features several Group 1-winning two-year-olds, including Coup De Genie (Mr. Prospector), Denebola (Storm Cat), Bago (Nashwan) and Machiavellian (Mr. Prospector). 

He also shares a page with Group / Grade 1 winners Senga (Blame), Emollient (Empire Maker), Maxios (Monsun) and Exit To Nowhere (Irish River).
