Promising galloper Bolivian Dash can finish the day at Canberra with a win over the older horses.
Prepared on the course by John Nisbet, Bolivian Dash returns home for the Myer Fashions On The Field Handicap (race 8) - a Class 2 over 1080m - and from barrier two should give a big sight.
The youngest horse in the race, the three-year-old made his debut here over 1080m and after crossing form a wide gate took up the running.
He turned in front and kicked very strongly in the straight, going on for a length win in a good form race.
He then jumped a class and tackled a Class 2 in heavy ground over 1000m at Gundagai.
Settling third, he loomed up in the straight and boxed on well for a half length second behind You're On.
Today he gets back to firmer footing and returns to his home track for the same class.
Jeff Penza is back aboard and he has drawn well in barrier two, where he will either lead or box seat.
The grey can only be further improved on his last run and looks hard to run down.
Another locally prepared galloper Close The Gap is racing well and should also give a sight.
The son of Catbird returned from a three month ban from bleeding recently and broke through for his first win.
That was at Moruya over 920m where he covered ground from a wide gate but proved too good, scoring a head win.
He then raced over 1000m at Narromine with a big weight and after settling just off the lead boxed on well for a neck second behind Brahmose.
Today leading Canberra rider Brendan Ward goes aboard as he drops 3.5kg as well.
He has drawn awkwardly but has good speed and should be close to the action throughout.
Satin Halo was thereabouts at his first three runs this time in but ran a much improved race last start at Forbes in this grade.
Over 1100m with a big weight, she sat fourth early but loomed up and battled away strongly for a three length second behind So Choisay.
She drops marginally in weight, the trip suits and she has drawn the inside so should enjoy the run of the race.
Sharland always runs an honest race and although he has the big weight and an awkward gate should be working home well, while up front Stop The Rock will give a sight with the light weight.
