Progressive galloper Prince Pedro can score back to back win at Wagga in today's Jason Wagga Group Murrumbidge Guieas Prelude (race 7).

The 1400m Benchmark 60 looks well within the scope of the promising Prince Pedro, who is yet to run a bad race form four career runs.

Prepared at Albury by Brett Cavanough, the gelding made his debut at Canberra earlier this year over 1000m and after settling just worse than midfield knuckled down strongly late but just missed when runner up behind Ramses' Pride.

He then appreciate the extra 175m at home, crossing from a wide gate to take up the running before clearing out with a five length win.

Cavanough was impressed enough to try his hand in Melbourne so he fronted up at Caulfield in open three-year-old class.

There he had no luck, finding trouble at the start and soon after, settling well back. He again copped a check on the turn then made good ground along the inside before hanging in and finishing a 6.4 length eighth behind Moment Of Change in a good form race.

Last start, here in a Class 2 over 1400m, he had a big weight and a wide gate but after sitting fourth and three wide out in the class proved too classy for his rivals and ran away with a 2.8 length win.

The gelding faces a tougher race here but has drawn for an easier run.

He can carry weight and looks pretty classy so should prove the one to beat again.

Tyson's Tiger has won two of four runs this campaign and looks the biggest danger.

The gelding, prepared on the course by Brad Witt, resumed in country class where he proved far too good then was a narrow second at Queanbeyan when running on hard but finding one better.

He then raced over 1400m in the Albury Guineas, a Benchmark 70, where he settled second last after an awkward start before launching a huge run form the back, finishing sixth and beaten four lengths behind Fat Al.

That has proven a top form race with six winners coming from the race, including this gelding last start at Wagga.

In a Class 2 over 1400m, the gelding settled second last and was carted wide making his run on the turn but finished powerfully to score by a length.

He is suited here at the trip, the claim helps offset the weight and he has drawn to settled off the pace and prove hard to hold out late.

Stablemate Lexical Ambiguity has been runner up at both runs this time in and looks an each way chance again.

Two starts back the filly chased hard when runner up over 1175m at Albury then stepped up to 1400m and worked home strongly from midfield but couldn't hold out her stablemate Tyson's Tiger.

She was runner up though only a length away and drops nicely in the weights here.

She has drawn awkwardly but has a top record at the trip and looks a major player again.

Victorian visitor Jungle Ranger, from the David Hayes yard, is a big danger fresh.

The Jungle Pocket colt was an easy winner on debut at Sale over 1400m, running on strongly, before a solid fifth in town when closing strongly late.

The colt has the blinkers added for his return and must be kept very safe here.
