Former New Zealand trained galloper St Mark looks well placed to notch up his second career win in Australia when he lines up in the sixth race at Kilmore today.

Having proven quite impressive when ploughing through the heavy conditions to score fresh in his Australian debut, St Mark can be somewhat forgiven for his last start mediocre performance at Bendigo when he was forced to sit three and five deep throughout.
Still managing to work home well on that occasion, the Michael Kent trained galloper will be suited by the step up in trip today and should be right at his peak in his third run back from a spell.
Expect Brad Rawiller to settle him back in the field from the wide draw with likely leaders Richoman and Mossailey ensuring a good solid tempo up front.
With form around the likes of Silent Achiever and Ocean Park in New Zealand, the son of Coats Choice should just prove too strong for his rivals in this.
The ever consistent Clang And Bang shapes up as one of the leading contenders coming into this race off a last start second placing at Ararat over 2000m. Having placed at nine of his last twelve starts the Darren Weir trained galloper should be suited by the firmer footing on offer today and looks well weighted with the 1.5kg claim of apprentice rider Thomas Sadler.
Stepping out for his thirteenth start of this campaign remains a concern as he is likely to be coming to the end of his preparation and could be due for a spell after a number of tough performances in testing heavy conditions.
The Jason Warren trained Richoman shapes as one the major dangers in the race stepping out for his third run back for this preparation. Drawn perfectly in on the rails expect Craig Newitt to push forward on the son of Golden Snake and if allowed to dictate freely in front he could prove very hard to chase down.
The possible knockout in the race is the Mick Price trained Harry’s Magic with the lightly raced son of Fastnet Rock stepping out to beyond a mile for the first time in his career. Having scored impressively fresh, Harry’s Magic proved quite disappointing last start when given every possible chance at Bairnsdale.
Although he has given all indications that he is a promising stayer in the making it is always a risk especially when he failed to run out over the mile last start.
