3 minute read

Gotta Dream will step out in the Racing Network App-Android Benchmark 72 (1900m) full of confidence at Traralgon today after a solid win over this trip at Kilmore last start.

The Luke Oliver-trained gelding has been in very good form this preparation winning two of his four races and placing on another occasion, when narrowly beaten at Pakenham two starts back.

Gotta Dream goes well over the distance having won two of three starts at the trip and should find this an easier task than what he came up against last time out.

James Winks goes back on board, having had just the one ride for a win and the son of Oratorio rates well on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and rates on top over this distance.

Gotta Dream has drawn the widest in the six horse field but should be able to slot in somewhere behind the likely leader Razor who looms as the biggest danger.

Razor is shooting for three wins a row having won his last two in high-weight races and should be in the finish again.

Trained by Ciaron Maher, Razor has won both races over this distance and has placed his only time at the course. Will go straight to the lead from barrier 3 and take plenty of running down.

He get’s 1kg off Gotta Deram but on recent form Gotta Dream rates on top and if runs up to form should get the better of Razor.

These two look the most likely to win this with King Sudurka and Firejet the most likely to fight it out for third placing.

King Sudurka is untried at the trip and has failed to win a race in 1123 days but is rarely too far away and can make his way into third.

Firejet drops back in grade after not beating a runner home when injured at Sandown last start and despite not having won in over a year goes well at the distance and with a 2kg claim.

Hard to enthuse after last starts effort but on best form can get the better of King Sudurka for third place.
