The John Sadler-trained runner has a very good record when fresh, having won two of his three starts and looks well placed to resume in winning style here.

The five-year-old gelded has drawn to get a good run in barrier four with Jamie Mott on board and he should find himself up on the speed without a great deal of trouble.

Lone Star has won four of his 10 outings at this trip and showed good ability in tougher company last time in.

His best form rates well on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and he looks the one they have to beat in this.

Black Jack Boy looms as the biggest danger second up, having run a solid enough race when resuming at Caulfield last start. He rarely fires fresh and would have taken plenty from the run.

On best form Black Jack Boy should measure right up in this and with some luck from barrier 11 will be running on and right in the finish here.

Liveforthemoment is also first up here and is yet to miss the placings when resuming. He showed good ability last campaign and is rarely far away.

The four-year-old gelding has not been seen for 298 days however and is untrialled leading into this so fitness is the only query.

Matthew Allen, who has a good record on the horse stays on board and he looms sa a big danger here.

Outside of these, Undercurrent is also worth plenty of consideration, finishing in the money all three runs this preparation and despite stepping up in grade for this would not be surprised to see him in the placings.

Quatermain also comes into this with winning form having won his last two in easier company and will be fitter for this second up from a spell. Will get a good run from the inside draw and will be in this for a along way.
