Warcrusher will improve on his first up run and take plenty of beating when lining up in the Narrambla Improvers Class 1 Handicap (1400m) at Orange today.
The Bjorn Baker-trained runner ran on well from back in the field for third at Goulburn last start and will appreciate the step up to 1400m today.
Warcrusher showed ability in metropolitan company last campaign and on best form rates well clear on weight adjusted Timeform ratings.
The three-year-old War Pass gelding was only 2.2L away when fourth at Canterbury last time in after a strong win at Goulburn and that form reads very well for this.
Chad Lever who has been riding well of late takes the ride for the first time and with a bit of improvement off his first up run will take plenty of beating here.
Rexton has shown some ability in recent times, breaking through two starts back and placing on either side of that.
Fought on gamely when third at Parkes last start in a Class 1 and that effort brings him into this.
Has run over the 1400m four times, placing on three of those and looms as a danger here on what he has produced of late.
Kryptonite also stays under notice, following up a win two back at this C/D with a last start third at Parkes.
Needs a bit of luck here from the wide draw but gets in well with a 2kg claim and can certainly go on with it here.
The resuming Ausbred Benz finds himself in easier company, having run in provincial company last campaign.
Trialled well twice leading into this and has won his only time over the 1400m trip.
Does not usually fire fresh but is worth consideration and looks to have each way claims in this.
Outside of these there appears to be a handful of each way chances which includes Our Penny Girl who has not been far away and Zareni who was not far away when runner up last start.
Future Destiny was also solid enough at Parkes last start when fourth over the trip and would not be surprised to see him in the finish.
