After what she showed on debut, Pemiki is largely expected to be breaking maiden status in the Wyong Golf Club Members Maiden.
Pemiki made her debut at Hawkesbury three weeks ago where she ran second.
The result reads well however giving the performance even more merit was just how tough she was forced to be.
In a small field, Pemiki found herself posted three and four wide with no cover throughout.
Despite that, the Encosta De Lago filly hit the lead in the straight before only being collared late.
Rolled as favourite on that occasion, Pemiki and Kerrin McEvoy combine again in the Wyong Golf Club Members Maiden (1100m).
Whilst unlucky, Pemiki will have no doubt taken valuable race experience and fitness from the Hawkesbury outing.
She should improve on the performance here however even on the form figure yielded during her debut, rates on top amongst this field.
On top of race day form, Pemiki trialled in most encouraging fashion prior to that and early signs at this stage point to her being a progressive type.
Drawn midfield in an eight horse race, Pemiki should settle in the first half, one off the fence.
On the assumption she enjoys a few more favours in transit on Thursday, Pemiki should be shedding her maiden tag.
The resuming Angel Face on disclosed form shapes as the main danger.
While Pemiki ran to a Timeform figure of 74 on debut, Angel Face boasts a master rating of 75 which was also yielded at her debut.
Angel Face couldn’t build on that performance during two subsequent runs during that prep however should return a more mature type with a full race campaign under her belt.
The Wyong Golf Club Members Maiden features a few lightly-raced sorts with the Paul Messara-trained Tiger Eyes being one of them.
Tiger Eyes drops back in trip after a third at Newcastle last start over 1300m.
Form out of that race has held up well through the winner Topmast and runner-up Bernindi.
The Choisir filly has drawn the rail here and a 1.5kg claim is used to good effect.
While not the most fashionable sort, Ruling Queen can perhaps give them all something to chase based on her debut third at Taree.
She may also be the perfect bunny for Pemiki who is clearly the one to beat in Race 3 at Wyong on Thursday.
