The Ciaron Maher-trained Kaylee looks set to build on her first up outing by breaking maiden status in the Donalda Motors Maiden Plate at Sale.
Kaylee was excellent on resuming, settling off the pace and overpowering all bar one of her rivals in Blazing Boy when second at this course over 1208m three weeks ago.
The effort came off a 509 day spell so the daughter of Barely A Moment would have been in dire need of the outing.
She will have taken plenty of benefit from the run and three weeks later, finds herself contesting the Donalda Motors Maiden Plate (1400m) at Sale.
Kaylee returned a Timeform rating of 64 for that performance at Sale on resuming which already has her rating highly amongst this field on 50 day weight adjusted Timeform ratings.
She is largely expected to be improving on the display and if that is the case, her rivals will struggle to hold her out.
A field of eight contest Race 2 at Sale on Thursday and the looking at her opposition, there doesn’t appear to be a great deal of it.
Northern Shadow is considered the main danger looking at markets as of Thursday morning.
The Mr Martini gelding rates highly on 12 month weight adjusted ratings however his first up outing at Moonee Valley was the worst performance of his career.
The three-year-old produced some particularly encouraging displays during a two start maiden campaign however and on those efforts would take beating.
Although caught wide throughout on resuming at Moonee Valley, the gelding quite simply was underwhelming.
Northern Shadow finds a race where he can bounce back to form on Thursday although whether he can recapture his best is a major query.
Leesabeel was closing nicely over 1354m at Donald last start.
Prior to that, the daughter of Savebeel’s career didn’t make for great reading.
Her latest outing at Donald was perhaps a case of the penny dropping for the filly.
