The Caulfield card on Saturday looks a tough battle for punters but thankfully we can call on air support.
Air support in the form of Red Bomber, the Mick Price-trained galloper who, after failing to fire the torpedoes first up, has hit the target in his latest couple and looks to have the cross-hairs zeroed in firmly on the sixth race on the Caulfield card.
The Melbourne Mail is waving him in, reconnaissance of his latest missions showing him to be the top performer in Saturday's squadron.
Of course one thing that can ground a bomber is a storm, and Freshwater Storm is feared on Saturday, but the early odds about Red Bomber justify calling in the aerial assault on the bookmakers.
For an each way play we are going to swing for the fences.
Zanbagh hsa done nothing this prep, beaten a space in both of her runs and shaping as though she may have lost interest... Hardly a recipe for success, however, she is yet to miss the money third up, winning two of three, and we know that her best is good enough.
