Punters are provided with an off-season treat at Rosehill on Saturday.
The eight race card features a number of gallopers throughout it who appear ideally placed.
A few younger, progressive types present themselves early in the program with a couple older gallopers working through their grades shaping as each way hopes between them.
It’s About You looks well placed and hard to beat in the Dyldam Significant Stakes (1900m) early in the program.
The Peter Moody-trained galloper is a dual acceptor however has been scratched from a capacity field at Flemington after drawing barrier 20.
Even if the gelding came up with an inside barrier at Flemington, he still appears far better suited in the third event at Rosehill on Saturday.
The son of Snitzel has been in excellent form this campaign.
A closing second at Caulfield was followed with a clinical success at Mornington.
He was again running on well late against the pattern at Moonee Valley last start when second behind Radical.
The Caulfield-based gelding has improved with each run this campaign with his latest performance returning a Timeform rating of 91.
On weight adjusted 12 month and 50 day ratings he sits noticeably clear of his latest rivals.
It’s About You meets his lesser performed rivals under Set Weights conditions which is ideal considering the weight he would be giving them under handicap conditions.
The main query surrounding It’s About You is being untried at the 1900m.
Fortunately, the Snitzel gelding has a number of siblings such as Yourein, Quick Snitzel and Off The Rails who have won or performed well over a mile and beyond.
He is favourite for the event and deservedly so and shapes as Blake Shinn’s first winner of the day of the leading rider hasn’t broken through in the first with Libidosun.
Blake Shinn has a strong book of rides at Rosehill on Saturday with two of his mounts midway through the program in Echo Gal and You’ll Never going around at each way odds.
With stronger wet track form, You’ll Never gets the nod at genuine each way odds in the Perfection Fresh Open Handicap (1500m).
While unable to make it three straight wins at this course a fortnight ago, You’ll Never still caught the eye working home well late into third behind a rival he faces again here in Mirage.
He meets the winner and runner up on better weight terms and can turn the tables on each.
Although beaten last start, You’ll Never still improved on his previous peak figure this campaign by two bounds.
The gelding is capable of building on it again still relatively early in his preparation (fourth up).
Blake Shinn is reunited with the Commands five-year-old which is a positive switch considering the hoop is one of the form hoops in Sydney at present, and Australia.
