The Masters comes to a close at Ascot on Saturday with the Group 1 Kingston Town Stakes the key highlight on the nine race card.
Star galloper Black Heart Bart was only just nosed out from making a triumphant return home, when very game with the big weight in the Group 1 Railway Stakes [1600m].
Conceding 6kg to more than half the field, Big Bad Barty Boy was back to near his best and appears very placed under the weight-for-age conditions. While 1800m may not be his optimum distance, he was a dominant winner of the Underwood Stakes [1800m] last September and was only beaten 2L in this year's renewal.
He is yet to win this time in, but has continued to race well and boasts "proper" form, unlike his rivals on Saturday. It has been widely reported that he has suffered feet issues in the last 12 months, but the stable is confident they have him right now, which was evident in the Railway Stakes when he produced a near peak performance.
With 55 days between runs, he is expected to improve further leading into Saturday's event and shouldn't be far away from the inside draw.He will need his even share of luck, but with clear air on straightening he should prove very hard to beat with Rawiller sticking aboard (placed 13/17).
Better than 2-1 is being offered about his chances which is a more than worthy gamble — get on and cheer home the champ!!Successful in notching up back to back wins to begin this preparation, My Grace was sent out the even money favourite last start and while disappointing her effort still held merit.
While yet to be seen beyond 1400m, she has had a solid grounding this time in and trust Team Williams to make the right call.Pike sticks (placed 6/10) and she is worth a gamble at the each-way odds.
