This girl showed what she could do last start when winning at Wyong three weeks ago. The race was over 200m out with the Godolphin filly going on to win by 3.5 lengths.

Even on debut at Gosford, Taniko ran second to a horse called Sedition who won at Rosehill last Saturday and also placed in a strong form race at Randwick two back.

From a nice barrier today Taniko should get a good run in transit behind a solid speed.

Hopefully from there it’s just a case of Brenton Avdulla getting her out in the clear on straightening and being too good.

R7; #4 New Tipperary

New Tipperary looks well placed here after a real eye catcher first up at Randwick. On that occasion the gelding was caught wide throughout but was still strong late.

He’ll be fitter for the outing and three weeks later he finds a far more suitable race.

It’s a big field however only half the runners sit inside the handicap.

He has three wins and a placing from five second up outings and has two wins from three starts over the mile.

Joe Pride has placed him well here.
