It's back to Caulfield this weekend with the rail out and the rain lashing down for what looks an interesting card.
This time of year in Melbourne often asks the same question - can form from the Bool translate into town and deeper into the winter.
The thinking being that horses are 'set for the Bool' and peak there with very little left to offer going forward. It's a question surrounding several runners on Saturday.
One that we hope, and think, has more to offer is Inn Keeper who runs in the seventh at Caulfield.
He put up one of the time performances of the May Carnival at Warrnmabool for his stable who clearly targeted the week and did so with great success.
His winning profile suggests that he has plenty more to come and that makes him an appealing bet around the $6.00 mark at Caulfield. It's one of the better races on the card but we are tipping that he will just have to hold his form to be right in the thick of the action again.
The other race on the card that appears very strong is the sixth where a couple of talented three-year-olds look well set up.
We're going to make Sun Quan out bet of the day with his fresh run saying he was forward and ready to fire right now.
He just got picked off fresh by a good horse and a great ride but he ran a terrific race from the front himself and a repeat will make him mighty hard to catch.
His effort stacks up favourably against Written Choice's win on the same card and Vainstream, while rating similar, has to bring his form up to 1200m.
