There were two good races to finish up the St Leger weekend at the Curragh, the Blandford and the Solonaway Stakes.
The Blandford G2 for fillies and mares is over 2000m, and we were sad to find that Banimpire had been
scratched from this - not sure why. So that left the coast clear for a very open contest and in the end itwas John Oxx's Manieree who won at 9/2, from Weld's Sapphire at 12/1 and Look At Me third 11/2.
The Solonaway was like another good day at the office for Cityscape who had few problems in holding out
Wild Wind and Across the Rhine. Future Generation was a non-runner and Emiyna failed to impress.
