A field of nine will line up in the Group 3 Adelaide Glavanising Spring Stakes (1200m) which includes last years Emirates Stakes winner Happy Trails, and Budriguez who finished last preparation with two group wins.

This looms as a race in two with both gallopers resuming over a trip short of their best but at the current price of $5 it’s hard to go past the David Jolly-trained Budriguez as the play of the day.

The now seven-year-old produced some very good form last time in which included a dead-heat win with early Melbourne Cup favourite Puissance De Lune before a good win in the Group 3 Victoria Handicap.

Budriguez has a solid enough record when fresh and despite looking for a bit more ground has won over the 1200m twice before, placing on another occasion.

At the juicy odds of $5 he looks the play of the day for us in what looks an intriguing race.

Earlier in the day, the consistent Splash Of Moet will drop back in grade when she contests the Regency & Showerscreens 78 Handicap (1200m) after racing in listed company last start.

The now four-year-old mare has won three of her five starts and despite only running 10th in the Lightning Stakes last start will find this an easier task and prove very hard to beat.

The scratching of Sino Eagle makes her task a great deal easier as well as she looks to improve on her good record at this course.

At her current price of $2.70 she looks the clear banker for the day with Schaduw looking the hardest to beat.

Current favourite for the Adelaide Image Printing 0-86 Handicap,Nearest To The Pin looks a risk at the current price of $3.20, despite dropping back in c lass for this.

The four-year-old gelding takes on a decent field with plenty of dangers including the resuming Detox who goes well fresh and Dehere Hunter who will have taken plenty from his first up outing.

Expecting these gallopers to make a race out of it and Nearest To The Pin is the lay of the day.
