RANDWICK KENSINGTON - Saturday December 14

RACE 3 (6) CELTIC PRINCE: Really like the way this gelding is progressing, having won two of his four starts since resuming and just starting to realise the potential he displayed last season. Showed a sharp turn of foot to force his way clear and then quickly overhaul leaders to record a soft last start win over 1900m at Canterbury and expect he can improve further with that run over the trip behind him. Steps up in class but still has a lot to offer.

RACE 5 (5) DARK BROWN SUGAR: Talented mare is well placed to improve on her last start third to Kristy Lee over 1150m on the Kensington track on November 23 when she was clearly the unlucky runner after being blocked and held up for a clear run early in the straight. She has steadily worked her way back to form after a long spell and meeting Kristy Lee on 2kg better terms with the barrier draw in her favor should give her the edge to turn the tables.

RACE 6 (9) SCREAM MACHINE: In a wide open Villiers Stakes this underrated gelding makes a lot of appeal if assessed on his spring carnival form when he put in excellent efforts behind Toydini in the G3 Cameron at Newcastle and Boban in the G1 Epsom at Randwick. Came back from a month break to carry the topweight and just miss by less than a length in a strong Goulburn Cup on November 24 after a slow start left him with too much to do under 59.kg. He’s down 4.5kg and only needs to get an even break to give a big sight at attractive odds.
