The lethal combination of Adam Durrant and William Pike combine in the sixth event at Ascot on Saturday, with Saxy Grace tipped to return to the winner's stall.

Stepping out for her sixth start this time in, the daughter of Saxon hasn't been far off the mark in recent efforts and appears poised to break through.

A sectional star behind Already Famous at her latest attempt, Saxy Grace is likely to settle closer to the speed from the rails draw and rates highly in this line up on best form.

This season William Pike is in superb form, striking at 19% and more notably is striking at 30% for the Adam Durrant stable.

Surprisingly Pike is yet to ride Saxy Grace, which further pushes the notion — she is ready to win on Saturday.

Saxy Grace has placed in three of nine attempts over this distance range and while yet to salute at Ascot previously, an overdue win isn't far away.

Currently installed a $5.50 chance appears a more than worthy gamble, as if priced on best form, she is marked closer to a 2-1 chance.

Overall if you backed every Durrant galloper ridden by Pike you would be striking at 29% and more notably, would be close to breaking square (-0.01% POT).

This is a very rare feat by any trainer/jockey combination over such a significant sample size (291 rides).

Saxy Grace hasn't won since May last year, but expect Pike to give her every possible chance on Saturday.

Willing to chance our arm in the last race, with the Kellie Kersley trained Superior Lad.

Was heavily supported on debut, only to just miss at Pinjarra, when finishing a narrow third.

Hit the line strongly on that occasion, and was a sectional star.

Obviously steps up sharply in grade, but the decision by Pike to stick aboard, obviously reads well for his chances, having ridden the favourite Highly Secret at her last six starts.

The step up to the mile should further aid Superior Lad's chances and when using predictive ratings along with sectional mark ups, he isn't rated far off his main rivals.

As much as $17 was bet earlier in the week, with $12 currently the best price available.

We expect him to start even shorter at the jump and appears worthy of an each-way ticket.
