We were so close to a double figured winner last week only for the bob of the head to go against us.
However to be fair it blew like a gale and doubled its quote so can’t be too greedy all the same.
This week we like a little value including an ex-Sydney horse now trained in Adelaide as Pinkies Girl tries to continue her great run of form.
The four year old broke the maiden then stepped up in distance and bolted away with the BM64 for the girls at Gawler.
While this is a tougher race in town, you have to be wary of a Stokes and Tourneur charge with a promising horse down in the weights.
She was a decent horse in NSW when with Anthony Cummings but clearly the step back in class has helped her gain confidence.
Onto the last where Duckworth should run a race at odds.
He got up by a nose a month ago and is well placed again after the 2kg claim.
Clearly this horse has come back well but a critical factor for a bet on him is that he needs a drying track.
If we get to the last and it’s damp it might be worth waiting for him again because he is going well. But if dry have a go both totes.
