Feature racing heads to Toowoomba in the sunshine state this Saturday in what looks a very competitive card of racing.
Coolring heads north for Sydney trainer Bjorn Baker to take his place in the $150,000 Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood (1200m) off some very good recent form.
Having returned with a win at big odds at Rosehill Gardens, Coolring has been very good in two outings since and was only beaten 1.5L when third behind Malaguerra in the Group 3 Kingdom Stakes at Rosehill last start.
That form reads very well for this with Malaguerra one of the fancied runners in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
From barrier 1 would expect Coolring to push forward and take up the lead with Jeff Lloyd on board and with a terrific record over the 1200m will take plenty of running down.
The five-year-old gelding rates well against his rivals today on what he has produced of late and fourth up off a three week break should be ready to fire.
The current price of $2.20 still looks a very good price for a horse with his form against this company and if he runs anything near his last start effort he should prove too good for these.
Earlier in the programme Craiglea Wandoo will back up into the Toowoomba Guineas after running fourth behind Handfast at Randwick last week.
His form prior to that was very good and despite doing plenty of travelling in the past week the current price of $10 looks a good each way bet in this.
Craiglea Wandoo finished off pretty well at Randwick last start and would expect him to handle the step up to the mile today.
Although there are a few question marks on the quick back up he has certainly shown enough in recent times to warrant an each way bet at the odds against a fairly modest bunch.
Havasay certainly looks the one to beat having been ultra consistent in recent times along with Too Good To Refuse who will relish the extra distance on offer today.
From barrier 11 expecting Craiglea Wandoo to get back in the run but expect him to be getting to the line in good order.
