New stable addition Cronkite couldn't have been any more impressive in his debut for the Grant Williams stable and appears well placed to go back to back at Belmont on Saturday.
Formerly trained by Cliff Smith the son of Trade Fair was backed as if unbeatable in his return and duly saluted with the Wizard aboard.
Successful in returning a new career peak Cronkite simply gave his rivals a galloping lesson and now appears very well placed in the final event.Prior to joining Williams' care Cronkite had displayed fair ability however he has clearly gone to a new level in his new surroundings.
The step up to 1400m should suit and he has again drawn to receive all the favours. In truth there doesn't appear a lot of depth to this final event and Cronkite should get the pace angle to suit with Baraki Beats, Bells Tower and Silver Minx all likely to press forward.
Currently 6-4 is the best price on offer about his chances which presents good value as we have him marked closer to an even money shot.In truth if able to repeat the level of his first up performance he should be too good for this rivals, if he can improve further then he will have little to no concerns making it back to back wins.
The Alana Williams trained Juicing Carrots couldn't have been more impressive last start and is expected to take a power of beating in the Listed Belmont Classic [2200m].
Successful in following up on his impressive victory two back the son of Black Tom dominated his rivals when making the sharp rise from 1650m to 2100m.Improving 11 pounds on his previous best he looks to have a bit too much in the locker for his rivals.
Obviously respect the Belmont Oaks winner in Rosmartini however given Juicing Carrots has a 5L winning margin up his sleeve he simply should be too good.A shade better than even money is the best price on offer about his chances and while short enough if priced aggressively it's quite easy to get him into the red.
The Wizard sticks aboard and the hat-trick appears well within his reach. As a side note, TopBetta will continue its Skin Series on Saturday ($50K Total Prize Pool) and while Belmont won't play a part it is definitely worth checking out - Click Here .
