It is a tough day on yet another wet track at Randwick.
Good luck if betting in the Sydney Cup with a third of the field having run two miles last time, a third of the field a mile and a half and a third new to the race.
We’ll head away from the big G1 staying feature and take a nice horse on the rise.
I Thought So did a few things wrong in the Gosford Guineas and was beaten a nose.
He has been back to the trials since then but handling the tracks has been something he’s been good at.
Hoping that he can just track them to the turn then let go and put the race away.
He is a three year old who could press on to Queensland for some races off the top level and so you’d want him to win this type of event.
Later on, even though he has been not in the finish of late, it must be acknowledged that Wouldnt It Be Nice has been racing in far harder company.
This is a BM90 but he’s been taking on the likes of the Star Kingdom, Newcastle Newmarket, Liverpool City Cup and Challenge Stakes.
The last time he was in just a handicap was eleven runs ago when second to Redzel in the July Sprint.
He does like Randwick and heavy going. He’s trialled again since last racing during the Golden Slipper festival and against a lot of horses resuming, could have a fitness edge.
We are going to get huge odds to find out for a stable on a high after last week.
Don’t forget to get involved in the Free Racing and Sports tournament on Saturday which is exclusive to site users.
