We’ll walk on the wild side this Saturday at Randwick and give a couple of costly ones another chance to deliver.
The first is Flow who lines up in the Optus Systems Benchmark 82 Handicap (1400m).
Flow has performed well in each of his three runs this campaign, the latest when third behind the talented Brave Song at this course over 1200m.
While rolled as favourite in two of those three outings, the son of Street Cry has been beaten by a length or less at each run.
The four-year-old should be peaking fourth up and the booking of Hugh Bowman can be considered a positive.
After key scratchings of Fortensky and Malaise, he strikes a race thin on depth with Level Eight profiling as the only danger.
In the final event, Queen Misty has her D-Day contesting a Benchmark 80 Fillies and Mares Handicap (1600m).
The daughter of War Pass has placed in each of her four starts this campaign, the last two behind rivals she faces again here, Live To Dream and Siren’s Fury.
She meets each of them 1kg better at the weights after those defeats.
Queen Misty has developed a reputation as a bridesmaid however warrants one more chance at her current price with Blinkers being applied for the first time.
The Les Bridge-trained mare has drawn favourably in barrier 2 and should enjoy a cosy run in transit from there.
