Baller comes here after a dominant success on the Kensington track last start where he put more than three lengths on his nearest rival.

The son of High Chaparral produced the win against the older horses and had a fair bit up the sleeve on the line.

He appears well placed returning to his own age on Saturday.

The Anthony and Edward Cummings-trained colt maps to land outside early leader Ronstar in a race which doesn’t look to possess a great deal of early pace.

Rosehill could prove a happy hunting ground for Tommy Berry on Saturday with Asterius shaping as a strong each way play in the Christmas At The Gardens Benchmark 78 Handicap (1500m).

Asterius returning from a mandatory three month bleeding ban with a closing eighth at this course over 1300m last month.

It was a solid display and went to the line untested with a wall of horses in front of him.

Late last season, Asterius was charging through his grades and had put three wins together before receiving the ban.

The son of Sebring finds a race here in which he can get things back on track.

Added fitness second run from a spell and the step up to 1500m will prove beneficial.

The Rosehill 1500m is where Asterius produced his best career win last season and on Saturday the Star Thoroughbreds runner returns to the scene of the crime.
