Randwick looks to be saving the best until last with She’s Clean a ratings special in the Group 3 Nivison Stakes (1200m) on Saturday.
The Chris Waller-trained mare hit the ground running first up in the Premiere Stakes with an eye catching fifth behind stablemate Arinosa.
It yielded She’s Clean a new master Timeform figure of 111 and expect improvement from the mare second up.
She now appears pitchforked into the Group 3 Nivison Stakes (1200m) under set weights and penalty conditions and has been correctly installed as favourite.
Just 2.5kg covers the field and She’s Clean rates highly on adjusted ratings in the line up.
The daughter of Redoute’s Choice has three pounds over nearest rival Driefontein on weight adjusted 50 day Timeform figures.
With most in the field poorly treated under set weight and penalty conditions, the race lacks depth and gives She’s Clean an ideal chance to open up her winning account this campaign.
The Chris Waller-trained mare settled last in the Premiere Stakes and expect Jason Collett to ease the five-year-old back from barrier 4.
The track by the final race of the program should be playing perfectly for the ultra consistent type and expect a win to ensue.
Also auguring well for She’s Clean and her chances in the Nivison are some excellent track, distance and second up credentials.
Looking for an each way play, Hippopus stands out in the Listed Tattersalls Club Cup (2400m).
Gai Waterhouse has quickly got the son of High Chaparral up to his pet trip third run back from a spell.
Hippopus showed sharp improvement second up in the Craven Plate (2000m) where he ran fourth behind the David Payne-trained Honorious.
Stablemate Vaquera finished third in the event and the pair clash again here.
In his favour though, Hippopus meets Vaquera 2kg better at the weights for a one length defeat.
Hippopus has been sent out to make all in both runs this campaign and expect something similar here in a race possessing minimal early speed.
Ideally, Tim Clark will lead the field around aboard the four-year-old at a snail's pace making it tough for rivals to reel the pair in down the straight.
Kirramosa is currently a $3.60 favourite for the City Tattersalls Club 3YO Benchmark 73 Handicap (1600m).
It looks like a wide open race and for that reason, the John Sargent-trained filly is the lay of the day.
The Alamosa three-year-old ran fourth in the Reginald Allen Quality (1400m) last start behind Champagne Cath.
She should be around peak fourth up and the Blinkers equipped first time could also help her cause.
In a field containing a number of up and coming sorts though, seeing her upstaged would come as no surprise.
Rivals such as Best Case, Vitello, Fuerza and Gamblestown all have a ratings profile which suggest they can win.
Last start maiden winners Suadela and Fields Of Tuscany appear untapped and capable of sharp improvement still early in their campaigns.
