Pajaro should continue working through the grades in Saturday’s Schweppes Benchmark 75 3YO Handicap at Randwick.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained gelding has won two of his three runs back from a spell this campaign with the latest coming at Rosehill over 1900m.

Pajaro on that occasion beat four of the same rivals he faces on Saturday in the Benchmark 75 3YO Handicap (2000m) at Randwick.

While meeting them on worse weight terms, the son of Align since arriving from across the Tasman is giving the indication he is a very progressive type.

He beat those four runners quite decisively and only fourth run from a spell, Pajaro should still be open to further improvement this campaign.

Rivals Pajaro beat last start in the form of The Alfonso, Enormous Honour and Casino Dancer are all well into their campaigns and may not be able to go with him.

Pajaro is shaping as a handy acquisition for the Kolivos family.

He has improved with each run this campaign after arriving from New Zealand where his time with the Robert Priscott stable culminated with a third in the Bonecrusher Stakes (1400m).

Pajaro during his maiden prep showed he could be ridden quietly but since arriving in Australia has looked right at home either leading or sitting outside of it.

Miss Husson brings a different form line into the contest venturing south from Queensland and shapes as the main danger.

There must be a query on the strength of that form though and Pajaro on his home track looks to have this field covered.

Society Man opened up at a ridiculous almost double figure quote for the McGrath Estate Agents Handicap (1300m).

He has since been well supported but at near each way odds, still possesses appeal.

The Joe Pride-trained Society Man ran second on resuming at Wyong over 1100m last start.

The gelding ran second on that occasion behind the speedy Magic Jewel.

Lack of fitness was what cost him on that occasion but will have taken benefit from the run.

Society Man looks perfectly poised down on the limit weight and in a race lacking depth, should capitalise.

The in form Jason Collett jumps aboard who has won on five of his 19 metropolitan rides during July.

The pair should settle handy and be fighting out the finish.

Laidback Larry is currently favourite for the Shoot Out Handicap (1600m).

The son of O’Reilly is highly talented and was last seen on a Randwick raceday when bolting in by 4.5 lengths over 2000m in January.

The gelding then ventured south for an unsuccessful tilt at the Mornington Cup prior to an autumn spell.

Regardless of his obvious talent and a pair of trials in readiness for this, winning first up in Open company over the Randwick Mile is no easy feat.

Main dangers in Bagman, Keep Cool, Single and Disciple are all rock hard fit.

Laidback Larry will roll to the front in a bid to make all but don’t be surprised to see him hit the wall up the rise.
