Decent card at Doomben this week with the prospect of some rain on the way.

The horse with plenty of upside on the Brisbane card is My Girl Hayley in Race 7.

This filly led all the way at Caloundra on debut but she wasn’t put into a maiden to kick off in. She went straight into a 3yo Open and won with ease.

Expectations were high as she started short too coming off two trial wins.

Bred to be handling any surface, the filly is perfectly drawn to lead or sit with the speed.

It’s a good little race so we might get surprisingly good odds.

Have to think Aroused is tremendous each way value in the last race.

He will be hoping for rain to affect the track but that is possible and he has some weight on his back, albeit helped by the claim. The barrier is no great help either.

But this campaign he has been flying with a Randwick win the most notable. That is going to be stronger than this type of race.

He put them away at Coffs Harbour in the Daniel Baker Sprint and so should he get some luck from the gate, he is a big chance to run them down.
