Didntcostalot has been racing in terrific form since joining the Tony Gollan stable and he looks hard to go past again at Doomben on Saturday.
I must admit I thought if he was going to be vulnerable it would be over the 1200m last time out but he came through it with flying colours leading all the way.
From his three runs for the Gollan stable he has finished a good second before going on to win his last two and his last start effort rates very well against these.
Tegan Harrison who is undefeated from two rides remains on board and from barrier 8 she will take Didntcostalot to the lead once again.
The seven-year-old gelding appears to enjoy racing at Doomben and his current price of $3.20 for a horse with his form looks a good bet.
Saluter certainly shapes up as a danger off a good first up effort for third behind Didntcostalot and he meets him better at the weights today.
His second up record does leave something to be desired however and he is yet to win from eight previous outings at the course, placing on only two occasions.
Architect will also be around the mark on his best form but will need to show improvement off his last start fifth behind Didntcostalot.
Later in the programme Straight Gold will be looking to continue his solid recent form and looks a very good each way chance.
The Glenda Bell-trained runner won by 6L before a solid showing for fourth over 1200m here last start.
Straight Gold should appreciate the drop back in trip to 1050m where he has a very good record and with the 3kg claim for apprentice jockey he gets in very well here.
Rates well on weight adjusted ratings and the $9 looks a good each way bet against these.
Hardline has been working through the grades well winning three of four and looks the one to beat again but would expect Straight Gold to be in the mix again.
Good luck!
