Bringing in his outstanding fresh record, this looks a perfect kick off point again for Mihany in Race 7.
While he draws out, he has good speed and can roll onto the pace. He’s not meeting a line-up of many recent winners.
He had a month between runs back in May and that saw him win a Flemington mile race. This race cannot be any harder.
That day he carried 59kg and has only slightly more for this. A trial sets him up nicely and even though others have claimed away from him, happy to back him.
The last is always a value race and we’ll stay with Matthew Neilson as Golden Century looks to continue her excellent run of consistency.
She has not missed a placing this campaign and even ran honestly in a BM75 two weeks ago.
The mare does get back but from this barrier won’t need to be right the way back.
This will be her first attempt at 1400m but her finishing speed gives every indication she will get it. Each way looks a great play.
