Best From The West - March 25

3 minute read

The Chris Cangemi trained Three Votes has clearly gone to another level this time in and appears well placed to notch up the hat-trick at Ascot on Saturday.

Due to contest the fifth event, Three Votes lines up over 1200m for the first time, which is a slight query, but he still should be too slick for his rivals.

Three Votes spaced his rivals two back, before again very impressive when returning from a slight freshen up (56 days) last start.

On that occasion he recorded a new career peak and remains open to further improvement on Saturday.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Three Votes is clearly the horse to beat and is certainly a genuine odds on chance.

He should lead with no opposition and no doubt will give them all something to run down.

As much as even money is being offered about his chances which appears more than fair as if priced aggressively I have marked a $1.50.

The Simon Miller trained Conseated has been very good in both starts to begin this campaign and now appears set to peak racing third up.

Due to contest the fourth event, the daughter of Passenger won well fresh before game in defeat behind Three Votes last start.

The step up to 1200m should certainly suit and she really is a model of consistency, having placed in 13 of 16 attempts.

In 10 attempts over this trip, Conseated has won four and placed on a further five occasions.

She rates clear on her last start performance and a repeat should see her very hard to beat.
