Mister Yeoh was impressive on his Singapore debut last start and now finds himself lining up in the Group 3 Three-year-old sprint (1200m) at Kranji on Friday night.
The former Australian galloper led all the way to secure a dominant seven and a quarter length win over 1200m in a Class 4 non premier last start which certainly puts him right in the frame for this feature race.
From the wide draw would expect Michael Rodd to push forward and settle on the speed once again and running to a Timeform figure of 86 last start that puts him right in the frame for this.
His previous two runs, both coming in Australia were not without merit and you would also expect him to have come on since his first up effort.
Whilst this is no doubt a step up in grade for Mr Yeoh, the son of Wanted looks to have plenty of improvement to come and you would certainly not be surprised to see him beating these based on his last start effort.
Augustano shapes up as the main danger on the back of two solid wins, the most recent in a Class 3 over 1100m.
The Lee Freedman-trained runner has certainly come back in good order this campaign with three very strong runs and this shapes up as a nice task for him deapite going back on to turf.
Augustano is yet to win on turf from just the two previous attempts but did run fourth at the back end of last preparation in a Class 4.
The son of Hard Spun certainly goes better on the polytrack and will need some luck from barrier 13 but is going as good as any of these and should be competitive.
Filibuster is an interesting runner who won her first two outings by three and a half lengths before returning with a modest fifth in a Class 3 behind Autumn Rush.
Has been given a few weeks since and despite stepping out on the turf for the first time she is a big Filly with plenty of ability.
The Cliff Brown-trained runner certainly showed enough in her debut campaign that she has what it takes to mix it in Group company and she can certainly return to her best form provided she gets some luck on speed from the wide draw.
Be Bee rounds out the main chances on the back of some consistent form despite not having win since late last year.
The Showcasing three-year-old has placed in all three runs in the new year however, beaten under a length the last two occasions in Class 3 company.
Proven on the turf is certainly an advantage and he is another that is likely to push forward and be prominent from a slightly awkward barrier.
This is the first time Be Bee will be back against his own age group since he was a two-year-old and expect a strong showing once again.
