After a bit of fun last week on Goodwood day, this meeting is a big drop in grade.
We’ll head to the end of the day for the best plays.
Happy to think that Lady Of Crebilly must go close this week.
The Choisir filly gets a step up in distance this week after not everything went right two weeks ago.
She got back to be last early, detached from the field when run off her feet. After tacking on at the turn, she went back to the inside.
Taking late splits she was fine taking the gap and made up loads of ground. Not having to chase this week will benefit her.
She did place at Listed level in the Twilight Glow in the Spring at 1400m and fancy a repeat of that wins this race.
Then onto the last we head. Coming off two wins in Victoria, Darren Weir has great success heading to Adelaide with improving horses and he brings Silentz over as one of those.
He has gotten back to near last in those wins and rattled over the top.
Not facing too many rivals in grand form here, he drops in weight and just needs luck around the turn to be able to balance up on the Parks circuit.
Much prefer backing winners than coodabeens (with the greatest respect to an old favourite show) and Yendall up is a good sign of strong intent.
