Hoping to keep some luck going on what will be a wet track at Morphettville.
The best comes up in the juvenile race where Crockett just needs to handle the track and run to his best to be mighty hard to beat.
After winning on debut (where the subsequent form looks strong), he ran two solid races in the lead up to the Magic Millions before failing in the big one.
However any horse that was back in the field there had no hope when the interference occurred on the first bend.
He won a trial in the lead up to this race and will likely be targeted for the old Dermody Stakes in a month’s time.
The breed does handle ground too which will be a must. We may get silly odds.
Later in the day, Darren Weir sends a second starter over the border to run in a BM64.
Air Guitar was well supported into odds on in a maiden and while it was only at Warracknabeal, he will take vast improvement from that.
Until he does it you don’t know if he would handle an affected surface but breeding suggests he would.
The stable often send horses on the rise to Adelaide but for a second run, it is a good thought that he would have the ability.
A lovely barrier will only help the cause.
